Özgür Bursalı, General Secretary of the Vatan (Patriotic) Party, made a statement regarding the US aircraft carrier George H.W. Bush coming to Türkiye under the guise of ‘aid’.

Mr. Bursalı’s statement is as follows:

“The US Pentagon Spokesperson announced that they are sending the George H.W. Bush Warship in the Mediterranean to Türkiye under the name of earthquake relief.

The US is not coming for earthquake relief, it is coming to take Türkiye into captivity.

This ship is not an aid ship, but an element of psychological warfare. With this ship, the US is not only sending a war machine against us, but it is also targeting Türkiye’s self-confidence and coming to take Türkiye into captivity.

Our Minister of Interior, Süleyman Soylu, had called on the US to “remove your dirty hands from our country”. Now the US is trying to sneak into our country with its dirty hands, dirty boots, and warships.

They had already pointed their barrels at Türkiye with dozens of bases, now they are trying to take over Türkiye in an easy way. There is no earthquake aid on this ship.

There are tens of fighter jets, submarines, aircraft, and advanced missiles. Just a few months ago, this ship was participating in drills to occupy Türkiye.

We are not dependent on the US. The Turkish state, army, and nation are doing their duty and will overcome the challenges.

The US will only bring disaster to Türkiye, not help.

We are addressing you again: You cannot come to Anatolia with your bloody boots! You cannot take into Türkiye captivity. Down with your ships and may they sink!

This ship must be immediately turned back and must never be allowed into Iskenderun Port.”
